Everyone knows smoking can cause many types of cancers to the smokers and also to the people surrounding. In my opinion, today’s smokers think that smoking is good for their health because they feel uncomfortable, sick and dizzy without smoking at least in 1 hour. But most of smoking effects will be seen in long term therefore most of the smokers take their health as granted. According to Cancer Research UK, smoking increases the risk of cancers that includes the mouth, larynx which is the human voice box, esophagus which is the human food pipe, liver, pancreas, stomach, kidney, bladder and cervix. All these cancers cause from the nicotine that went through these organs. Moreover, we can see how these organs are functioned and connected to our lung and liver when the nicotine goes through in human body as diagram below:

Although the young generation knows more about these facts, still they continue their smoking habit, because for some it is a manly attitude, for some it is a cool habit, for some it is like a medicine to reduce stress and some do it just following other’s trail. The effect of smoking shows in the long run, so they don’t realize what harm they are doing to their health. Even though a lot of events have taken place all around the world to prevent smoking, the number of smokers haven’t reduce. Is all these prevention events don’t work? Why do you think is doesn’t work? Why do people still begin to smoke?
